Marzipan almond macaroons

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g powdered sugar
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1 vanilla pod(s) or
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g marzipan
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 n. B. Cardamom
  • 1 shot of Amaretto
  • 700 g ground almonds
  • 2 tbsp curd

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Beat the egg whites with the sugar until well beaten. Add the seeds of the scraped vanilla pod or the vanilla sugar. Coarsely grate the marzipan and fold it into the foamy mixture. Add the 2 tablespoons of quark (prevents the macaroons from hardening), the cinnamon, cardamom, and the amaretto. Then fold in the almonds. Using a teaspoon, place small mounds on the baking sheets. Important: When placing the mounds on the baking sheets, make sure they don’t spread out. If this happens, add a few more almonds. Bake all three baking sheets at once at 125°C (fan oven) for about 50 minutes.
