Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g marzipan paste
- 100 g sugar
- 300 g almonds, ground
- 120 g powdered sugar
- 50 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 5 tbsp Amaretto
- 2 egg whites
- 100 g almonds, chopped, for rolling
- n. B. Icing sugar for dusting

Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan/convection oven). Cut the marzipan into pieces and place in a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, ground almonds, powdered sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, Amaretto, and egg whites. Knead using the dough hook of a hand mixer. Form the mixture into walnut-sized balls and roll them in the chopped almonds. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the hot oven for approx. 12-14 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still lukewarm. Tip: You can also omit the chopped almonds, bake the balls as they are, and then coat them with melted chocolate, drizzle them with chocolate, or draw strings over them. Makes approx. 30 balls.
