Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup poppy seeds, ground
- ½ baking powder
- 3 cups whipped cream
- 1 pack of marzipan (marzipan roll)
- some cocoa powder for dusting
- Fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Beat the eggs with a mixer until frothy, add the sugar and mix thoroughly. Fold in the flour and baking powder, then add the poppy seeds and carefully fold them in. Pour the mixture into a greased 26 cm diameter dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (convection oven) for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Once cooled, cut the cake base in half. Fill the bottom layer with the whipped cream and place the top layer on top. Place the marzipan roll (available ready-made) over the cake and press it down. Dusted with cocoa powder, the cake looks very appetizing.
