Marzipan cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 100 g almond(s), ground
  • 300 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • some flour for rolling out
  • e.g. chocolate glaze or icing
  • e.g. brittle, sprinkles, sugar decoration, pistachios

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Christmas cookies

Place the marzipan and butter in small pieces into a bowl. Add all the other ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Shape into a ball, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Cut the dough into pieces, knead briefly, and roll out on a floured surface to a thickness of 1/2 cm. Using various cookie cutters, cut out shapes as desired and place on a prepared baking sheet. Bake in the hot oven on the middle rack for approx. 12-15 minutes. Cover with chocolate glaze or icing and decorate as desired.
