Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 150 g marzipan – raw mass
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 g almond(s) (almond sticks)
  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g chocolate coating, whole milk

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 20 minutes

Beat the butter with the marzipan, sugar, and salt until smooth. Stir in the egg and almonds. Sift over the flour and knead to form a firm dough. Shape the dough into two logs, wrap in cling film, and chill for 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut the logs into 8mm-thick slices and place them on the baking trays. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Let the cookies cool, then melt the chocolate and decorate or decorate the cookies as desired.
