Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g mascarpone
  • 250 g sauce (vanilla sauce)
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 jar sour cherries
  • 1 package of ladyfingers
  • Amaretto
  • 40 g cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with Amaretto, sour cherries and vanilla sauce

Bring the sour cherries and their juice to a boil in a saucepan, then remove from the heat. Mix the cornstarch with a little water and stir in, then return to the heat and bring back to a boil, stirring constantly, until the compote has thickened. Allow to cool. Mix the mascarpone with the vanilla sauce and vanilla sugar. In a bowl or small baking dish, place ladyfingers on the bottom, drizzle with Amaretto, and cover with a layer of mascarpone cream. Add a second layer of ladyfingers drizzled with Amaretto, and then the remaining cream. Cover everything with the cherry compote. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours. The dessert tastes best the next day.
