Matcha is green tea powder and is particularly popular for Matcha Latte. But ice cream can also be made with the Japanese specialty. You need for the ice cream: 200 milliliters of milk, 200 milliliters of cream, 125 grams of powdered sugar, half a vanilla bean, and 2 teaspoons of matcha powder.
- First, scrape out the vanilla bean and mix the vanilla with the milk.
- Then mix the icing sugar with the matcha powder.
- Now stir the milk into the matcha powdered sugar mixture and make sure the milk is free of lumps. It is best to use a whisk for this.
- Now whip the cream until stiff and carefully pour the milk mixture into the cream.
