Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 14 fish fillets (double matjes)
  • Bell pepper(s), red, green, yellow
  • 60 g capers
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 can/n beans (chili beans or kidney beans)
  • 3 onions
  • 1 jar olives (pitted, green)
  • 4 tbsp oil (olive oil)
  • 8 tbsp balsamic vinegar, white
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the herring, pat dry, remove the tails, and cut into approximately 1.5 cm wide strips. Wash the peppers, deseed them, quarter them, and cut them into small strips. Peel the gherkin, halve it, deseed it, and cut it into small pieces. Drain the beans. Mix everything together with the capers, olives, olive oil, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with baguette.
