Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 8 herring fillets
- ½ apple
- ½ onion(s)
- 4 small gherkins
- 4 radishes
- 1 lemon(s)
- 5 slices of toast
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Dice the herring fillet. Finely dice the onion, apple, gherkins, and radishes. Mix with the herring and season with a little pickle juice. Spoon the mixture into a small coffee cup and turn it out onto a plate. Cut out round circles from the bread (using an upside-down glass or a cookie cutter) and toast. Arrange the toasted slices next to the turned-out herring tartare and serve.
