Maultaschen in delicious mushroom and bacon sauce

Fry the bacon cubes in a well-heated pan until they begin to brown. Now add the roughly diced onion and stir until browned. Add the flour and mix well. First, add just a splash of water and mix well. Reduce the heat slightly. Then gradually add up to a glass of water until a sauce forms. Add the sliced mushrooms and simmer for a while. When they are slightly soft, add the Maultaschen strips and pour in the cream. Stir well, making sure to scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan; this creates a nice flavor and color. Finally, season well with pepper, salt, chives, and chopped parsley and serve.
