Ingredients

  • 4 Maultaschen with veal filling from the freshness shelf
  • 750 ml Beef broth from stock
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Fresh sage sprigs

Instructions

  • Heat the meat stock to boiling point, add the Maultaschen and let simmer for about 20 minutes over a mild heat. Turn it once in a while.
  • In a small saucepan, fry the butter with a pinch of salt until it starts to brown. At this moment add the fresh sage leaves and fry in the butter for about 2 minutes ..
  • Use a slotted spoon to lift the Maultaschen from the broth onto pre-warmed plates and immediately add the butter and the fried sage.
  • This dish is a complete meal with a small salad as a side dish - you can also serve the Maultaschen with the broth in soup plates, but we like them melted with the sage butter.
