Maultaschen pan Italian style

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of Maultasche(s) from the refrigerated section
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 small bell pepper(s)
  • 1 jar tomato sauce
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the onion and bell pepper into medium-sized cubes and the Maultaschen into strips. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the Maultaschen until golden brown. Add the onions and bell peppers, then stir in the tomato sauce. Add a little water if needed. Season with salt and pepper, tear the mozzarella into pieces and scatter over the Maultaschen. Cover the pan so the mozzarella melts, then serve.
