Maultaschen with feta and tomatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g Maultasche(s)
  • 2 onions, red or white
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • possibly chili
  • some olive oil or clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Finely dice the onions. Cut the Maultaschen into thin strips and dice the feta cheese. Sauté the onions in a pan in olive oil or clarified butter until translucent. Add the Maultaschen and continue frying. Meanwhile, halve the cherry tomatoes. When the Maultaschen are golden brown, add the cherry tomatoes and fry until softened. Season the tomatoes with a little sugar, salt, and chili, if desired. Stir constantly until the tomatoes have broken down. Add the feta cheese and stir to melt. Serve on plates. Serve with leaf salad.
