Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 330 g meat sausage (diameter 7.5 cm, height 7.0 cm)
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • 2 slice(s) Gouda, young
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 20 g clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve the meat sausage and cut a pocket 3/4 of the way through. Cut two round slices each from the ham and cheese, approximately 7 cm in diameter. Push the cheese and ham into the meat sausage pockets. Secure with roulade pins. Beat the eggs with salt and pepper. Prepare the breadcrumbs. First coat the meat sausage pieces in the egg, then in the breadcrumbs, coating them thoroughly. Heat a pan with clarified butter and fry the meat sausage cordon bleu until browned on all sides.
