Meat sausage in tomato and sour cream sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml ketchup
  • 1 cup of sour cream, approx. 200 g to 250 g
  • 400 g meat sausage
  • 4 m.-sized tomatoes
  • some tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Chop the sausage and tomatoes into small pieces. Briefly fry the sausage in a pan. Add ketchup and sour cream and stir well. Add water as needed to prevent it from becoming too thick. But be careful not to let it taste watery. Season with a little tomato paste. Add the tomatoes and heat everything up. I always serve this with spaetzle. If you don’t like tomatoes, you can also use bell peppers. I’ve never tried it with other vegetables. My mother always loved cooking it.
