Meat sausage ragout

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g meat sausage
  • 200 g corn
  • 200 g peas
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 6 tbsp tomato paste
  • 400 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • 10 tbsp cream
  • Oil or butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Dice the sausage and bell pepper. Brown the sausage in a pan with a little oil or butter. Add the diced bell pepper, corn, and peas and mix everything together. Sauté the vegetables for a while. Stir in the tomato paste, taking care not to overheat, or it will burn. Pour the passata over the mixture, add the cream, stir well, and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. Season the ragout with salt, pepper, and paprika. Chili powder also goes well with it. Serve with pasta or rice.
