Meatballs with Lecho and Potatoes

The perfect meatballs with lecho and potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mixed minced meat
  • 2 Pc. Egg
  • 2 Pc. Rolls old
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 50 ml Milk
  • Parsley crispy fresh
  • 3 Pc. Onion
  • 4 Pc. Paprika
  • 2 Pc. Fresh tomatoes
  • 1 Can Canned tomatoes chopped
  • 1 Pc. Soup cubes
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 2 Pc. Fresh garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  • 0,5 kilogram Potato

preparation

  1. 1) Soften the rolls in lukewarm milk and squeeze them out. 2) Grate one onion, cut the rest into slices. 3) Cut the peppers (colorful for the eye) into slices. 4) Finely grate the garlic. 5) Chop the parsley. 6) Wash and peel the potatoes. 7) Cut the tomatoes

The meatballs (Fasírt golyócsk)

  1. Mix the meat well with the grated onion, a part of garlic, the softened and torn rolls, the eggs and the parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper, mix again. * If you like, you can also season with chilli (powder)
  2. Form medium-sized balls (whoever wants to form meatballs, dumplings, etc.), turn them in breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry the balls in plenty of hot oil.

potatoes

  1. Boil / cook in salted water or steam. Possibly Turn in butter, season with salt

Letscho

  1. Sweat the paprika and onion, add the paprika powder. Caution, do not let it burn. Deglaze with 50-100ml stock (made from water and soup cubes), add fresh and canned tomatoes and simmer / reduce on a low level. Season to taste with salt and pepper, possibly season with chilli -wers spicy.
  2. I do not use “spicy” things, as this is a popular children’s dish!
