Meatloaf and potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 3 large onions
  • 4 slice(s) meatloaf, thick
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 200 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Boil, peel, and slice the potatoes. Slice the onions into rings and sauté. Dice the meatloaf and halve the mushrooms. Layer the potatoes, meatloaf, onions, and mushrooms in a casserole dish. Mix the cream with the eggs and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in 2/3 of the cheese and pour over the casserole. Cover with foil and place in the oven on the middle rack at 220°C for about 30 minutes. Remove the foil and cook for another 10-15 minutes to brown the casserole slightly. Finally, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and let it melt.
