Meatloaf with Apples and Onions
The perfect meatloaf with apples and onions recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Discs Toast
- 100 ml Whipped cream 30% fat
- 400 g Ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tsp Mustard medium hot
- 1 Egg
- 4 tbsp Rapeseed oil
- 2 Apples red
- 2 Onions
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 500 g Floury potatoes
- 100 ml Whipped cream 30% fat
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 0,5 bunch Chopped parsley
- Freshly grated nutmeg
- Pour the toasted bread with cream in a bowl and let it soak for about 5 minutes. Add the minced meat, a little salt, pepper, mustard, egg and 1/4 of the chopped parsley and knead to form a smooth minced mixture. Shape the mince into a loaf with lightly oiled hands.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (circulating air 180 degrees). Preheat a deep tray on the middle rail with. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a coated pan. Sear the meatloaf in it, turning it carefully with two spatulas. Place on the hot tray and cook in the oven for about 40 minutes.
- In the meantime, peel the potatoes, quarter them and cook in salted water for about 20 minutes.
- Eighth and core the apples, peel the onions and cut into thick rings. Mix both with 2 tablespoons of oil, a little salt, pepper and oregano, place on the tray after 20 minutes and cook at the same time.
- Drain the potatoes and let them evaporate. Add the cream, butter, salt, pepper and nutmeg, mash finely. Sprinkle the meatloaf, apples and onions with parsley and serve with the mashed potatoes.
