Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 portions of cheese (Handkäse or Harzer or Münster)
- 1 tbsp rosemary
- ½ tsp oregano
- 1 sprig(s) basil
- 50 ml vinegar, possibly balsamic vinegar
- 120 ml olive oil
- 1 clove(s) garlic, sliced
- 8 green olives, sliced
- 8 black olives, sliced
- some onions (shell onions)
- ¼ red bell pepper(s), cut into small cubes
- ½ chili pepper(s), red or chili flakes
- 50 g bacon, finely diced, fried
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 30 minutes
Place the cheese in a sufficiently large dish. Mix the other ingredients together and season with salt and pepper, and perhaps a little sugar. Add a little water or broth to taste. Pour over the cheese. Cover and let it sit for at least a day. Any type of bread goes well with this dish.
