Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 750 g flour
- 100 ml milk
- 5 eggs
- 130 g sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 packets of yeast (dry yeast)
- 110 g margarine
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
Melt the margarine in a saucepan and let it cool. Combine the eggs, flour, sugar, salt, and dry yeast in a bowl. Warm the milk slightly (to lukewarm), then add it to the bowl with the margarine and the other ingredients and knead everything well. Then let it rise in the oven at 30-40 degrees Celsius for 1 hour. Once the dough has risen nicely, braid it into a large loaf and brush it with egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius (convection oven) and bake for at least 25 minutes; the loaf should be golden brown.
