Melon cocktail with rum

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g melon(s) (watermelon)
  • 2 cl brown rum
  • 2 cl lemon juice, or a little more

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Ice-cold and slightly sour – great for hot days!

Puree the watermelon pulp and mix with rum and lemon juice. I find that using more than 2 cl of rum somewhat diminishes the melon flavor, but more lemon juice adds the right kick. It’s best to place the cocktail in the freezer before drinking (stirring regularly!) so it frosts up a bit. Otherwise, at least serve well chilled from the fridge!
