Melon Salad with Garlic Prawns

The perfect melon salad with garlic prawns recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 12 piece Organic prawns
  • 250 g Watermelon weighed without the peel
  • 0,5 piece Papaya fresh
  • 1 medium-sized Tomato
  • 1 piece Shallot
  • 0,25 piece Cucumber
  • 1 piece Chili
  • 2 piece Limes
  • Fresh coriander
  • 2 piece Peeled garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  1. Quarter the tomato and cucumber and remove the seeds. Also remove the seeds from the papaya and peel. Peel the shallot. Finely dice shallot, melon, papaya, cucumber, tomato and chilli.
  2. Squeeze the limes. Mix a dressing from the juice and 1 tablespoon of olive oil, pepper and salt.
  3. Mix all salad ingredients with the dressing and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Peel the prawns and fry them in the remaining oil, fry the halved cloves of garlic and season everything with salt and pepper.
  5. Arrange the prawns over the melon salad and sprinkle with finely chopped coriander.
