Melon with Parmesan and ham

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 honeydew melon(s) or cantaloupe melon
  • 150 g Parmesan cheese
  • 200 g raw ham
  • some cream of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 stalks of basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Deseed the melon and cut into bite-sized pieces. Remove the rind from the Parmesan cheese and cut into thick slices, roughly the size of the melon pieces, but thinner. Cut the ham into thin slices and then halve the slices lengthwise. Wash the basil, spin it dry, and pick off the leaves. Take a piece of melon, place a piece of Parmesan cheese and a basil leaf on top. Wrap the parcel with half a slice of ham and secure with a toothpick. Drizzle each parcel with a little balsamic vinegar and refrigerate until ready to serve.
