Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Clean the bell peppers and cut into bite-sized pieces, and finely chop the onions. Squeeze the sausage meat out of the casings to form small meatballs. Make a cross-shaped cut in the tops of the 12 tomatoes, place them in boiling water. As soon as the skins burst, refresh briefly, peel, and finely chop. Add a little oil to a large pot and sear the meatballs, seasoning with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and basil to taste. Add the bell peppers and onions and fry briefly. Add the tomato paste and mix everything well. Deglaze with the water, add the tomatoes, stir everything together, and simmer for 15 minutes. We always serve this with croquettes.
