For cheese, I recommend more intense cheeses like Maasdam or at least medium-aged Gouda. Parmesan is also delicious. But it works with any other sliced cheese, even sliced cheese. Light cheese becomes particularly crispy. When it comes to seasoning, the sky’s the limit. I’ve tried dried herbs, garlic, curry, gyros, and caraway seeds and found them all to be good. Here’s how to make fresh cheese crackers in record time: Cut the slice of cheese into 2 x 2 cm pieces, place them on baking paper, season as desired, and microwave on high for about 2 minutes. The cheese should be golden brown. Don’t leave it in for too long, or it will become bitter. Remove the crackers from the paper and let them cool briefly; then they will become really firm and crispy.
