Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 125 g millet
- 1 carrot(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 250 ml vegetable stock
- 1 egg(s)
- breadcrumbs
- Herbs, any
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Finely chop/chop the garlic, onion, and carrot. Cook in a little fat until the onions are translucent. Just don’t overcook! Wash the millet, first in warm water and then in cold water, and add it to the onions, etc. Sauté briefly (1 min.). Add 250 ml of vegetable stock and cook for 5-10 minutes. 4. After cooking, let it swell for 10 minutes (switch off the stove). Now stir in the egg, herbs, and spices. The patties are then formed from this mixture/dough. If the mixture is still too runny, thicken with the breadcrumbs. Fry in the pan until golden brown on both sides. This amount is enough for about 10-20 millet patties. A little tip: don’t form the patties by hand, just drop small blobs into the pan and turn occasionally.
