Minced meat – bulgur balls

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat (beef)
  • 1 cup bulgur, fine
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • oregano
  • a few stalks of parsley, flat
  • 2 cans of tomatoes, pureed
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (Pul Biber)
  • 2 dashes lemon juice
  • 1 tsp peppermint, dried (Nane)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Knead the minced meat with the bulgur wheat. Season with salt, oregano, pepper, and paprika. Add 2 dashes of lemon juice and pul biber. Finely chop the parsley, add it to the minced meat mixture along with a can of tomato puree, and knead in. Form small meatballs and place in a greased baking dish. Mix the second can of tomato puree with water, salt, and nane (peppermint) and pour over the meatballs. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until the meatballs are tender. Serve with rice and flatbread.
