Minced meat skewers with barbecue sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 6 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp coriander (ground)
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 600 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

For the BBQ sauce: Finely chop the onion, peel and press the garlic clove. Combine the onion and garlic with ketchup, honey, thyme, ginger, balsamic vinegar, coriander, and rapeseed oil, and season with salt and pepper. For the skewers: Finely slice the spring onion, peel and finely dice the carrot. Mix the spring onion, carrot, minced meat, mustard, paprika, eggs, breadcrumbs, and parsley in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper. Divide the meat mixture evenly among 12 skewers and press firmly into the mixture. Grill on the hot grill for about 10-12 minutes, brushing with the sauce frequently. Use the remaining sauce as a dip!
