Minced meat spaetzle pot with vegetables

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 3 pointed peppers
  • 2 carrots
  • 1,000 g minced meat, mixed
  • 500 g spaetzle
  • 2 cups of whipped cream, 200 ml each
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, 200 g
  • 1 tbsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 3 tsp sambal oelek
  • 3 tsp ajvar
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, clean and slice the mushrooms, bell peppers, and carrots. Then, mix the minced meat with a tablespoon each of sambal oelek and ajvar, then season with salt and pepper. Cook the spaetzle in salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, brown the minced meat in a roasting pan. Once the minced meat is cooked, add the mushrooms, bell peppers, and carrots one after the other and brown again. Add the cooked spaetzle along with the cream, crème fraîche, vegetable stock, the remaining sambal oelek, and ajvar, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
