Minced meat stew with kritharaki

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Fat
  • some tomato paste
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 g processed cheese, with herbs
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. Italian herbs, e.g. basil, oregano, marjoram
  • 200 g noodles (kritharaki)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic in a little fat. Add the ground beef. Once cooked through, add the tomato paste. Season generously with salt and pepper. Deglaze with the tomatoes, stock, and cream, and simmer gently. Then add the cream cheese and melt it. Season to taste with the herbs. Finally, add the rice noodles and cook until tender. You may need to add a little more stock to prevent it from becoming too thick.
