  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 9 tbsp oil
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • some tomato paste
  • 200 g ham
  • 100g salami
  • 50 g cheese (pizza cheese)
  • 4 Pepper
  • ½ red bell pepper(s)
  • 5 olives, green
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp pizza seasoning
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (Bressot or Philadelphia with horseradish)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Knead the flour with yeast, oil, water, and 1 teaspoon of salt into a dough and let it rest for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cut the ham, salami, pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives into small cubes, and finely chop the garlic. Mix everything with the pizza cheese and cream cheese and season with the spices. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough to about 2 mm thick and cut into squares or cut out round discs. Spread a little tomato paste from the tube in the middle of each square and spoon a little filling onto one half of the dough. Fold the empty dough halves over the top and press the edges together firmly. Place the calzone on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about 15 minutes, until the surface begins to brown. It can be enjoyed hot or cold. A green salad goes well with it.
