Mini Tube Noodles / Plait
The perfect mini tube noodles / plait recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 100 ml Milk
- 50 g Sugar
- 50 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 0,5 dice Yeast fresh
- 1 Egg
- 300 g Flour
- Heat the milk and place in a bowl. Add the butter, sugar, yeast, a pinch of salt and the egg to the milk and stir well. I make the dough in my Emil (Thermomix) and then I heat the mixture for 2 minutes at 37 degrees. Add flour and knead everything well …… I let knead 🙂 🙂
- Shape the dough into a ball in the bowl and let it rise. The Thermomix owners leave it in the pot right away because it’s nice and warm and it rises very nicely.
- Knead the dough again and form mini balls, about 11/2 to 2 cm small balls, if you want you can put a dollop of jam in the middle. Put in a buttered casserole dish or on a baking sheet and let rise again. Brush with melted butter and bake for about 15 minutes at 170 degrees.
- I served the small cane noodles with powdered sugar and vanilla sauce. Of course, you can also shape larger balls and bake them longer.
- Mostly I make double the amount and make a braid out of it, sometimes with and sometimes without nuts 🙂 🙂 sometimes small nut snails etc ……..
