Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 60 g mint, fresh
- 300 g apples, sour
- 250 ml apple wine (cider)
- 500 g gelling sugar (2:1)
- 1 lemon(s) (the juice)
- 500 ml water, boiling
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Rinse the mint. Pour 500 ml of boiling water over it, cover, and let it steep for half an hour, then strain. Peel, core, and finely grate the apples. Place them in a saucepan with the mint liquid and the remaining ingredients and bring to a rolling boil for 4 minutes. Then continue to cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, until the mixture finally sets (test for setting occasionally). Then pour into prepared jars and turn upside down for 5 minutes. Tip: You can also make this jelly in the microwave. First cook for 4 minutes at 560 watts, then stir and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir again and test for settling. If it’s still not thick enough, simply cook for 2 minutes or another 5 minutes at the same wattage until the mixture has set.
