Mixed onions from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg onion(s), red and white
  • salt and pepper
  • some parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • some olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Italian antipasti

Peel the onions and halve them horizontally. Soak the onion halves in plenty of salted water for about 10 minutes. Remove from the water, dry slightly, and place surface-up in a baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and chopped parsley and drizzle with olive oil. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 60-75 minutes.
