Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 ml white rum
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 lime(s)
  • 6 sprig(s) mint, small
  • 250 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sterilize a 1-liter bottle in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. Rinse the lime with hot water and peel the rind thinly with a vegetable peeler. Boil the sugar and water for 4 minutes at a rolling boil. During the last minute, add the mint sprigs and lime zest. Add the mint sprigs and lime zest to the bottle. Measure out 200 ml of lime syrup, stir with the rum, and pour over the liquid. Close the bottle tightly. If you remove the lime zest and mint sprigs after 2 weeks, the drink will keep for about 3 months. For a long drink, top up with soda water.
