Monkey Plate

The perfect monkey plate recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Grapes
  • 20 Pc. Cherry tomatoes
  • 50 g Cheese
  • 10 Pc. Walnuts
  • 3 Pc. Cabanossi
  • 1 Pc. Apple
  1. Sometimes you don’t come up with the simplest ideas, that’s why I present our monkey plate. I serve it to my children 1-2 times a day as a snack. The foods mentioned are a random selection of today. Basically it is about putting together a “healthy” snack for the children (“healthy” because that is usually a problem that the parents have and not the children … but that would lead too far). Our monkey plates look different every day, depending on what the refrigerator has to offer: different types of fruit and cheese, sausage, hard-boiled eggs, nuts, sunflower seeds, vegetables. If you present this to the children (or guests) in bite-sized portions, you can assume that the plate will soon be empty. Have fun experimenting
