Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • some mini mozzarella balls
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 60 g polenta semolina
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. basil
  • ½ liter oil, for frying

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Mozzarella finger food for your next New Year’s Eve party

Whether it’s a birthday, New Year’s Eve, or another party, these appetizers are sure to enhance any buffet. Finger food with mozzarella, delicious and quick to prepare. 1. Crack the eggs into a deep plate, season with pepper, salt, and basil, and whisk. 2. Place flour or polenta into another deep plate. 3. Drain the mozzarella balls and then roll them one after the other in flour, egg, and polenta until completely coated. Then chill for about 15 minutes. 4. Heat the frying oil to 160-180 degrees Celsius and fry the mozzarella balls for 1 to 2 minutes until they are a nice golden yellow. 5. Remove the balls from the oil and drain on kitchen paper. 6. Sprinkle with pepper, salt, and basil and, if desired, garnish with small wooden skewers. 7. Done.
