Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 mozzarella (buffalo milk)
  • 2 oranges
  • 5 tbsp olive oil, good virgin
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 10 basil leaves
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Slice the mozzarella. Make sure you use good buffalo milk mozzarella. Peel the oranges with a knife so that absolutely no white remains. Fillet the oranges and collect the juice. Arrange the cheese and orange segments in a flaky pattern on a platter and garnish with the basil leaves. Blend the olive oil and balsamic vinegar with a little orange juice using a hand blender and drizzle over the salad. Season with coarsely ground pepper and let stand for about 15 minutes. A brilliant alternative to the well-known Caprese.
