Mozzarella Packets on Steamed Chard Bed
The perfect mozzarella packets on steamed chard bed recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1,5 bunch Swiss chard
- 2 Pc. Shallots
- 1 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 5 Pc. Buffalo mozzarella balls
- 1 pinch Pepper
- 1 bunch Basil
- 120 g Black Forest ham
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 pinch Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
- Wash the chard and cut into small pieces. Peel shallots and garlic and dice finely.
- Drain the mozzarella balls, cut in half, season with pepper and wrap first with basil, then with 2 slices of ham per ball.
- Sauté the onions and garlic in 2 tablespoons of hot oil, add the chard (first the firmer stalk parts, shortly after the leaves) and let them collapse, covered. Season with sugar, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil again in a hot pan. Fry the mozzarella packets in it for 1-2 minutes on each side. Spread the chard on a plate and arrange the mozzarella packets on top.
