Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 125 ml mulled wine
- 750 ml ice cream (vanilla)
- 50 g jelly (currant), red
- 1 orange(s), organic
- Almond sticks, for garnishing
- Orange(s), for garnishing
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Rinse the orange in hot water and grate one-third of the zest. Squeeze the orange. Boil four tablespoons of orange juice, the grated zest, and the blackcurrant jelly for 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the mulled wine, and chill for an hour. Then scoop four scoops of vanilla ice cream and chill. Place the remaining ice cream in a bowl and chop it up slightly. Add the mulled wine and quickly mix with a hand mixer. Divide the smoothie among four glasses, add a scoop of ice cream to each, and garnish with orange slices and almond slivers.
