Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ vanilla pod(s)
  • 650 ml mulled wine
  • 100 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 250 g sugar

Instructions

Delicious with dry sparkling wine or over vanilla pudding

Halve the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Combine the vanilla pod, seeds, mulled wine, freshly squeezed orange juice, and sugar in a wide saucepan and stir to combine. Bring everything to a boil and reduce over high heat, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is syrupy (about 45 minutes). Allow everything to cool and remove the vanilla pod. Pour the syrup into a clean glass or bottle. If you want to enjoy the syrup with dry sparkling wine, add about 1-2 teaspoons per glass, or enjoy it with vanilla pudding, if desired.
