Mushroom casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 800 g potatoes
  • ½ liter of milk
  • ¼ liter cream
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 30 g butter
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring the milk and cream to a boil and thicken with the cornstarch until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and a little nutmeg. Clean, wash, and slice the mushrooms. Peel, wash, and slice the potatoes. Place in a buttered casserole dish and cover with the sauce. Sprinkle with plenty of grated Gouda cheese and finish cooking in the oven on the middle rack at 180°C for 40 minutes.
