Mushroom cream schnitzel

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g chicken schnitzel
  • 300 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 40 g processed cheese
  • 100 ml milk
  • 40 ml cream
  • some broth
  • 1 tsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp chives
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 slices of toast
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Fry the chicken cutlets in butter on both sides, then season with salt and pepper and keep warm. Clean and finely chop the mushrooms. Bring the milk, cheese, spices, and herbs to a boil, add the remaining ingredients and the mushrooms, and simmer covered over low heat. Then thicken with the cornstarch, mixed with a little liquid. Toast the bread, top with the chicken cutlets, and pour the sauce over them. Serve immediately!
