Mushrooms baked in ham with cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g mushrooms
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 60 g butter or margarine
  • 4 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 slice(s) cooked ham, large
  • 200 g Tilsiter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Mushroom roll

Clean, wash, and slice the mushrooms. Add butter to a pan and fry the onions until translucent. Add the mushrooms, sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of parsley, season with salt and pepper, and sauté covered for 10 minutes. Place the ham slices on a countertop, distribute the mushrooms evenly, and roll up the ham slices. Grease an ovenproof dish with the cooking fat, place the ham rolls in it, cover with Tilsiter cheese, and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes. Serve with farmhouse bread and boiled potatoes.
