Mushrooms Filled with Feta and Olives

The perfect mushrooms filled with feta and olives recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 8 piece Large mushrooms
  • 200 g Feta cheese
  • 1 piece Clove of garlic
  • 10 piece Black olives without stone
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Sour cream
  • 1 tsp Sea-Salt
  1. First, peel the garlic, squeeze it with the garlic press and put everything in a bowl. Crumble the feta and add it to the bowl with the sour cream, sea salt and olive oil. Mash everything with a fork until you have an even mass. Then do not chop the olives (I prefer to use Greek or Turkish olives, because they have a nice flavor) and add them to the filling and mix everything.
  2. Preheat your oven to 200 ° C top / bottom heat. (This recipe is also great to prepare on the grill and is a delicious side dish!)
  3. Remove the stem and lamellae from the washed mushrooms, the easiest way to do this is with a small spoon and fill them with the feta mixture. Place the filled mushrooms in an ovenproof dish and put them in the oven on the top rack for 20 minutes.
  4. The mushrooms taste best when they are lukewarm. I like to serve some baguette and a small salad with it.
