Mustard noodles with chard

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta
  • salt water
  • 3 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 350 g chard
  • 1 ½ tbsp mustard, mild
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 g tomatoes
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

It’s quick and tastes great

Clean and chop the chard. Separate the stems and leaves. Peel the tomatoes and discard the seeds and liquid, then cut the flesh into small cubes. Cook the pasta in salted water. Heat the fat in a pan and fry the chard stalks. Add the still-wet chard leaves and sauté in the pan with the lid closed until al dente. Mix the mustard with the cream, add to the vegetables, and simmer for 4-5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and let stand for about 1 more minute. Season with salt and pepper and stir the hot pasta into the vegetables.
