Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • ½ bottle of bitter almond flavor
  • Fat for frying
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine flour and baking powder, make a well in the flour. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, and eggs, and mix with half of the flour until a paste forms. Add cold butter flakes, rum, and bitter almond flavoring. Quickly knead everything into a smooth dough. Let rest in a cool place for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1 cm, cut out almonds or shape them with two teaspoons. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar.
