Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 40 g yeast
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • possibly lemon peel, grated
  • 150 g hazelnuts, grated
  • 75 g sugar
  • 6 tbsp cream
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g butter, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Make a yeast dough from the dough ingredients, let it rise as usual, and then roll it out into a rectangle. Knead all the filling ingredients together. Brush the yeast dough with melted butter and spread the nut filling evenly over it, leaving a border on the sides. Roll the dough lengthwise. Cut the roll in half lengthwise with a sharp knife. Wrap the two dough strands around each other, cut side up. Place on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise again. Bake at 180°C for about one hour.
