My Yogurt Bomb with Strawberries
The perfect my yogurt bomb with strawberries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
for the yogurt bomb
- 500 g Yoghurt, 10% tastes best, but 3.5% is also possible
- 120 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- Possibly a little vanilla flavor
- 400 g Cream
for the sauce
- 400 g Frozen strawberries or fresh
- 100 g Frozen raspberries or fresh
- 2 tbsp Sugar or amount to taste
- Some lemon zest and juice
also
- 600 g Fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp Possibly elderflower syrup for marinating
- Sugar to taste
- Some lemon juice and zest
- The yogurt bomb is made the day before. So it is good to prepare for larger celebrations. You can make them with a lot of fruits. There are no limits to the imagination. Just give it a try.
- Mix the yogurt with sugar, vanilla sugar and possibly vanilla flavor. Whip the cream until stiff and fold in with the whisk.
- Place a sieve or colander (diameter approx. 20 cm) on a higher bowl. Line with a clean tea towel or a Sanitas towel. Pour in the yoghurt cream mixture. Fold the cloth over on all 4 sides. There shouldn’t be anything hanging down. If the cloth absorbs the liquid, it will otherwise be in the refrigerator. (It happened to me the first time.) The whole thing now goes in the fridge overnight. Liquid will now run out of the mixture into the bowl until the next day. This makes the taste much more intense.
- For the sauce, puree the raspberries and strain them through a sieve. Add the strawberries, sugar and lemon and mix everything. (You can do it the day before.)
- The next day, marinate the strawberries with sugar, lemon and possibly elderflower syrup for about 30 minutes. Instead of elderberry, chopped mint also tastes very good. But that doesn’t always suit everyone’s taste.
- Before serving, turn the yogurt bomb out onto a plate. To do this, unfold the cloth, place the plate in the middle, turn it over and then carefully remove the sieve and cloth.
- Garnish as you wish. You can see how I did it in the pictures. Serve with the rest of the sauce and possibly strawberries. I also added pictures of 2 earlier variants.
- So far, it has always been very well received by my guests. But it also tastes really good. Our favorite is the variant with strawberries.
